When you hear a story like this, it makes all of my little troubles disappear. Thank you for sharing! From a dealer:
I may be a bit late to send my personal thank you but the days have been getting away on me with my 7 days a week work schedule. I wanted you to know how much I appreciated you getting our trailer ready for Mother’s Day weekend so I could enjoy my last weekend off with the kids camping in Algonquin.
It meant the world to me as I was just coming off of chemo and had a long ‘not so fun’ winter sick yet continuing to work at the Curling Rink as I didn’t tell anyone what I was going through. I know life is short and I don’t need to tell you that. I have a rare blood cancer called Systemic Mastocytosis. I was diagnosed a few years, it’s one of those that is hard to treat…so it’s trial and error. I’m doing well all things considered. I just wanted you to know why I begged and pleaded SO much…and that what you and your staff did meant the word to me. Each day is a gift.
I also wanted to share that my daughter who is a SickKids patient lost her best friend to Cancer a few years ago. It was devastating for her. Both our girls cut their hair for Cops for Cancer in his memory. They work very hard raising money had a very successful cupcake stand and were able to raise almost $5000.00 for pediatric cancer research. I know with what you went through with your daughter, you would appreciate hearing that.
I hope the open house on Saturday was a success on Saturday. The Parks Canada staff that was there, was at my Lock Station on Sunday and had mentioned they were there.
Thank you again!
I’ve included a few pictures from our trip. Feel free to use them!
